Mario Vazquez was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and grew up in the small town of Cidra. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard and moved to the United States. Mario also worked as a postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service in Stratford, Connecticut. His father is an electronic technician and amateur photographer. His mother is a nurse and teacher. Today Mario is an artist and educator, two inherited talents passed on by his parents.
During his time in the U.S. Army active duty service, he completed his associate degree from Central Texas College, Killeen, Texas. After his military service completion, he obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, Connecticut. After becoming an Art educator, he obtained his Specialist in Education degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida. He received his doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Florida. Mario has taught Art to high school and college students for over two decades. He currently resides in South Florida.
